Saint Laurent’s latest collection showcased their new designer Hedi Slimane who is known for minimalist tailoring for men. Looking at his beautiful spring collection, I found myself thinking about what I am missing from my wardrobe. Answer: a well fitted black trouser ( not just your standard pant). Why black for spring you ask? Isn’t black more suitable for fall? Well, I think black trouser is a timeless classic for any woman’s wardrobe, especially ones that fit like the ones in this collection (narrow at the leg, hugging at the hip, and with semi-low rise). I searched very deep into my closet looking for black pant. I found a lot – some were baggy at the leg, cropped, some with no pockets, etc. – So, I am on mission to find one…wish me luck!
